Wells Fargo on 2012 American Society of Clinical Oncology Meeting: Key Takeaways

Analyst, Brian Abrahams, said, "For Celgene (Nasdaq: CELG), maturing ph.II pom/dex data continue to impress and OS results suggest this regimen provides a meaningful advance over limited options in the relapsed/refractory MM population. While the benefits, risks, and role of Revlimid maintenance therapy were debated by KOLs in several education sessions, little new data emerged that would help predict what CHMP’s stance will be in the upcoming decision on Revlimid frontline and/or post-ASCT maintenance. Finally, new ph.II data for the R2 regimen in recurrent lymphoma set the stage for a broader clinical program in the largest of the NHL subtypes. Thus far Incyte's (Nasdaq: INCY) Jakafi seemed to generate increasing interest but limited new data were presented, with more incremental data expected June 4; Gilead's (Nasdaq: GILD) CAL-101 continued to show early promise. Overall the results presented at ASCO over the first several days do not significantly change our theses on the relevant companies in our coverage universe, and we would not expect significant stock movement coming out of the meeting thus far."
