WebMD Health Corp. (Nasdaq: WBMD), reports that Cavan M. Redmond has been appointed as its new Chief Executive Officer and as a member of its Board of Directors, effective May 31, 2012.
Redmond joins WebMD from Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE), where he most recently served as Group President, Animal Health, Consumer Healthcare and Corporate Strategy and as a member of Pfizer's Executive Leadership Team. He was responsible for two diverse businesses while leading Pfizer's enterprise-wide Strategy, R&D Portfolio Management and Analysis, Global Commercial Operations and Continuous Improvement.
