Shares of Potash (NYSE: POT) are underperforming the broader stock market Tuesday afternoon, potentially on the heels of the stock's removal from UBS Canada's Key Call List early this morning.
The UBS analyst cited fears of a possible slowdown in China, continued concerns on the timing of the Euro crisis, and a belief gold exposure can now be justified. While the analyst likes Potash's long-term growth potential, he feels the company is lacking earnings momentum over the near term.
The analyst maintains a Buy rating on Potash shares.
The stock last traded at $39.80, up just 0.07 percent from Friday's closing price.
UBS replaced Potash with shares of Barrick Gold (NYSE: ABX).
