Update - William Blair initiates coverage on Acquity Group (NYSE: AQ) with an Outperform rating.
Analyst, Bhavan Suri, said, "Acquity's technology strength, which is at the core of its digital marketing services, provides a unique and compelling differentiation...Its deep technology expertise enables the company to offer strategic consulting services around digital and mobile commerce and content and also implement these as Internet- and mobile-enabled e-commerce offerings. Online ad spending is expected to grow 11% this year and global e-commerce (estimated at $375 billion last year) is forecast to grow at a 16% compound annual rate through 2016. Given these secular tailwinds, we believe companies will continue to invest in digital marketing initiatives and look to companies such as Acquity to deliver integrated online and mobile commerce and content strategies. Further, as marketing is more integrated with social networking and with e-commerce platforms, we believe Acquity is well positioned to garner share from both traditional agencies and pure-play IT services providers."
