Barclays on U.S. REITs: Best Ideas List: Adding Hudson Pacific Properties (NYSE: HPP); Removing Alexandria Real Estate (NYSE: ARE)
Analyst, Ross L. Smotrich, said, "The five stocks on this list (Boston Properties (NYSE: BXP), Camden Property Trust (NYSE: CPT), CBRE Group (NYSE: CBG), Prologis (NYSE: PLD) and Hudson (NYSE: HPP)) are 1-Overweight names in which we currently have the most conviction for near- and intermediate-term outperformance on a risk-adjusted basis."
Smotrich believes HPP is a compelling small-cap with tech and media tenants in California. He sees ARE as a best-in-class lab space REIT, but thinks the company/stock lacks near-term catalyst.
