Barclays maintains an 'Equalweight' on PetSmart (NASDAQ: PETM) price target of $60.00.
Analyst, Alan M. Rifkin, said, "PetSmart reported 1Q EPS of $0.85, which represents an increase of 39% from $0.61 last year. Guidance was for $0.72-$0.74. 1Q same-store sales registered 7.4% versus 5.0% last year and our estimate of 4.5%."
"After raising our estimates last month post our meetings with management, we are once again raising our full-year estimates. Our 2012 EPS estimate increases from $3.16 to $3.30, our 2013 EPS estimate from $3.50 to $3.60 and our 2014 EPS estimate from $4.00 to $4.10. We are also increasing our 2012 comp estimate from 4% to 5%."
