GameStop Corp. (NYSE: GME) CEO J. Paul Raines is trying to instill confidence in the stock following the 9 percent slide since Q1 earnings late last week.
After the close, it was disclsoed that Mr. Raines bought 6,570 shares on 5/21 at $19.01, bringing his stake to 546,012 shares.
It was the first insider purchase since last August 2011, when Raines bought about 2K shares at $21.43. Shares ramped higher after that purchase and were up over 21 percent by November 2011. However, the stock drifted lower since that point and are now lower than the purchase price.
