Nomura Securities maintains a 'Neutral' on Gap, Inc. (NYSE: GPS) price target of $25.00.
Analyst, Paul Lejuez, said, "GPS reported 1Q EPS of $0.47 vs. our est of $0.46, cons of $0.45 and guidance of $0.44-$0.46. Gap Brand is gaining momentum, helping to drive strong results in the qtr. If Gap Brand momentum continues, we believe there is upside potential to FY12 consensus forecasts (we are at $2.15 vs. cons of $1.97), though we do expect expense increases to limit some of the upside. We believe the risk/reward skews favorably, though the macro environment and the historical inconsistency of Gap Brand and Old Navy keep us on the sidelines."
