Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) shares are moving higher Friday morning following an upgrade at UBS.
The firm raised Morgan Stanley from Neutral to Buy, though it cut its price target from $21 down to $19.
UBS said the move reflects an already negative outcome from the difficult macro environment. Given the recent move lower, there is plenty of leverage for more upside.
The call comes following a move by Moody's on May 9th for a downgrade of Morgan Stanley, saying "threat risks choking Europe recovery."
Shares of Morgan Stanley are indicated about 3 percent higher in early trading.
