Home Depot (HD) volatility up as shares pull back on results below high expectations

Home Depot (NYSE: HD) is recently down $2.28 to $47.60 in the premarket after reporting Q1 revenue of $17.8B, verses consensus $17.93B. Oppenheimer say’s “Soft comps reflect elevated expectations, not fundamental weakness.” May put option implied volatility is at 38, June and August is at 27; compared to its 26-week average of 26 according to Track Data.
