Facebook (FB) Sympathy Plays Catch a Bid on Raised IPO Price

Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) sympathy plays are on the move early Tuesday after the social media juggernaut raised the expected IPO range to $34 to $38 per share from $28 to $35. The new price range gives Facebook a valuation between $93 billion and $104 billion. The IPO is set to hit the Street on Friday.

Facebook Sympathy Plays:

  • Firsthand Technology Value Fund (Nasdaq: SVVC) 3.7% HIGHER; owns 600K Facebook shares, is up 5.7%.
  • GSV Capital Corp (Nasdaq: GSVC) 4.5% HIGHER; Facebook represents 15% of their portfolio
  • Hercules Technology Growth Capital, Inc. (NYSE: HTGC) FLAT; Facebook is a portfolio holding of the specialty finance firm.
  • Zynga (Nasdaq: ZNGA) 6% HIGHER; Zynga contributed 11% of Facebook revenues in Q1 versus 12% in Q4.
