Canaccord Genuity on Consumer/Retail: Athletic Retail Q1 Preview - Buy Dick's (NYSE: DKS) and FootLocker (NYSE: FL) Ahead of Earnings: Hold on Hibbett (Nasdaq: HIBB)
Analyst, Camilo Lyon, said, "Dick's (NYSE: DKS), Footlocker (NYSE: FL) and Hibbett (Nasdaq: HIBB) will report Q1/12 earnings the week of May 14. Given the early spring weather coupled with strong trends in athletic, we believe all three companies are poised to report solid results. Specifically, strength in baseball, golf, and athletic footwear all are expected to contribute to strong comp gains. That said, we prefer BUY-rated DKS and FL over HOLD-rated HIBB given expectations and valuations."
