Goldman Sachs reiterated their Buy rating and $36 price target on Tesla Motors (NASDAQ: TSLA) following Q1 results, in-line with the firm's estimates.
While the quarter had solid execution, the main takeaway was news the company anticipated deliveries of the Model S to begin in June, ahead of the previously announced July timing. The company also on track to complete all of its homologation requirements in the U.S. in coming weeks. Another important fact was that the Model S received a 265-mile range certification from the EPA under 5-cycle testing.
While positive on the stock, Goldman lowered estiamtes. FY12 EPS goes from (2.15) to ($2.42), FY13 from $1.53 to $1.17 and FY14 from $3.20 to $2.95.
