Barclays on U.S. Department Stores: Q1 Preview
Analyst, Robert S. Drbul thinks Macy's (NYSE: M) will see some pick up versus the prior quarter (which was full of promotions on slightly soft holiday season). For JCPenney (NYSE: JCP), he sees a loss of $0.10, citing a transition period in which, a few customers may have been lost. For Kohl's (NYSE: KSS), Drbul thinks the second half of 2012 will be the healthiest for the company, so buy now on compelling valuation.
For Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT), Barclays predicts a Q1 print of $1.04 and for Tiffany's (NYSE: TIF), $0.67 as the company's global growth story stays intact.
