GARP Research maintains a 'Neutral' on Qiagen NV (NASDAQ: QGEN).
Analyst, Alastair Mackay, said, "Sales grew 12% in the quarter, mostly due to two recent acquisitions. HPV revenue was flat, with competition leading to share erosion. QIAsymphony placements remain strong."
"The company is expanding into clinical trial genotyping, expression profiling, forensics, and veterinary applications. However, growth may be constrained by weakness in government- and pharma- funded R&D, while competition in HPV testing is heating up."
