Genesee & Wyoming (GWR) Offers Q2 Outlook on Call, Cuts FY12 Guidance

On its Q1 conference call, Genesee & Wyoming (NYSE: GWR) said it is looking for Q2 EPS of about 67 cents on sales of about $217 million. The Street is looking for EPS of 73 cents on sales of $222.19 million.

The company lowered its FY12 sales guidance to $870-$880 million, vs. the consensus of $887.8 million. EPS are expected to be in the range of $2.75-$2.80, which compares to the Street estimate of $2.90. The company had previously guided FY12 sales to about $885 million and EPS to about $2.85.
