Notable 52-Week Highs and Lows of the Day 04/25: (GNC) (KO) (STX) High; (ICON) (AH) (CHRW) Low

This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • GNC Holdings Inc. (NYSE: GNC) high of $40.82. GNC reported first-quarter EPS of 59 cents and revs of $624.3 million, compared with consensus views calling for EPS of 52 cents and revs of $586.97 million. Looking ahead, GNC sees fiscal 2012 EPS of $2.05 and revs of $2.37 billion, compared with estimates of $1.93 and revs of $2.31 billion.

  • The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE: KO) high of $75.05. Earlier, Coca-Cola said its Board approved a two-for-one split of the stock. The move is pending on shareholder approval and would be the 11th such split in the company's history.

  • Seagate Technology PLC (Nasdaq: STX) high of $31.32. Seagate may be moving higher following strong Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) results, which may set the tone for more consumer electronics companies to post results above what many were expecting for the first quarter. Shares moved nearly 5 percent to the new mark Wednesday.

  • Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ONXX) high of $47.58. Onyx is seeing some strong buying today on rumors that German pharma giant Bayer might be taking a good, hard look at the company. Shares up 9.5 percent at one point.
52-Week Low:
  • Iconix Brand Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: ICON) low of $14.27. Iconix getting just below its annual low following a 16.2 percent dip on earnings. Earlier, the company reported first-quarter EPS of 43 cents and revs of $88.5 million, missing views calling for EPS of 46 cents and revs of $94.7 million.

    For 2012, Iconix lowered its 2012 outlook from a range of $1.77 to $1.84 to a new range of $1.65 to $1.74 and revs from $370 million to $385 million to a range of $340 million to $350 million. The Street was expecting EPS of $1.80 and revs of $379 million.

  • Accretive Health, Inc. (NYSE: AH) low of $11.44. Accretive moving lower as Minnesota AG Lori Swanson is pressuring the Company with a lawsuit over debt collection practices. Shares moved nearly 40 percent to the low Wednesday.

  • C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. (Nasdaq: CHRW) low of $60.00. After the market closed Tuesday, C.H. Robinson reported first-quarter EPS of 65 cents and revs of $2.55 billion, largely in-line with views calling for EPS of 65 cents and revs of $2.60 billion.

  • Zipcar, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZIP) low of $12.00. One year ago today Zipcar hit its annual high of $28.89 (though it IPO'd on April 14th, 2011), so shares have more than halved themselves since. For its first-quarter, Zipcar reported a loss of 8 cents per share on revenue of $59.1 million, compared with views calling for a wider loss of 11 cents and revs of $59.3 million. Zipcar reaffirmed its outlook.
