Jefferies boosted its price target on Buy-rated Visa (NYSE: V) from $122 to $142 ahead of results on 5/2.

The firm comments, "We share the consensus view that V/MA will print strong C1Q results on 5/2, with the potential for top and bottom-line upside. Unlike last quarter, which included unexpected guidance raises from V/MA, as well as positive commentary on merchant litigation, we don't expect the upcoming print itself to be much of a catalyst. Maintain Buy ratings on V/MA (business model, EPS visibility, manageable regulatory/legal environment, valuation)."
