Jefferies maintains a 'Hold' on SUPERVALU (NYSE: SVU) price target lowered from $8.00 to $6.50.
Analyst, Scott A. Mushkin, said, "SVU continues to focus on lowering relative price gaps as well as increasing its hyper-local merchandising efforts. However, it is likely some time before meaningful and sustained improvement is seen from these efforts (perhaps never if competitors respond), suggesting SVU, if possible, should consider more creative/aggressive actions with both the capital structure and assets."
"We are raising our FY13 EPS estimate to $1.26 and establishing 1Q13 and FY14
EPS of $0.36 and $1.34, respectively."
