Nomura Securities maintains a 'Neutral' on Talbots (NYSE: TLB) price target of $3.00.

Analyst, Paul Lejuez, said, "4Q EPS of ($0.52), excl charges, was above our est of ($0.60) and consensus of ($0.54). Although sales improved toward the end of the 4Q (though in response to promotions), trends have weakened significantly 1Q-to-date. Comps are currently running down 5.4% - particularly disappointing considering that the majority of softlines retailers had good performance in Feb/Mar. While leaner inventory is in part to blame, it is not a good start to F12. With little progress improving the business, we do not see a positive catalyst unless a buyer is found. We are raising our F12E from ($0.44) to ($0.40) on slightly better margins."
