Jefferies reiterated their Buy rating and $78 price target on Gen-Probe (NASDAQ: GPRO) following recent interviews with more than 25 private & public labs in the US to gauge customer reception towards GPRO's new assays, as well as pre-market orientation around PANTHER.
"Our diligence uncovered evidence of stronger than anticipated interest in both GPRO's Trich & HPV assays that we estimate could lead to upwards of $0.05 (+2%) and $0.15 (+5%) of EPS upside in 2012 & 2013, respectively," the firm said.

Shares of Gen-Probe closed at $65.07 yesterday.
