Canaccord Genuity maintains a 'Buy' on News Corp. (NASDAQ: NWSA) price target of $25.00.
Analyst, Thomas Eagan, said, "As we incorporate comments made by management regarding the lower Publishing OI, our F2012 OI estimate is reduced from $6,005M to $5,558M. We are lowering our projections for Film OIBDA as well, from $1,339M to $1,280M due to lower expected box office. Separately, we are introducing estimates for F2013: $35,068M in revenue and $6,426M in OI, which represents 3.2% and 15.6% growth, respectively, over F2012."
Eagan remains positive saying fundamentals are intact (at cable network/broadcast TV) and share repurchases are likely to be renewed.
