Uranium Energy Corp. (AMEX: UEC) 3.9% LOWER; intends to offer and sell to the public in the United States and Canada an aggregate of up to 5,560,000 shares of its common stock, $0.001 par value per share, at a negotiated price of $3.60 per Share for gross proceeds of up to $20,016,000, before deducting placement agents' fees and estimated offering expenses.
Cavium (Nasdaq: CAVM) 3% LOWER; sees Q1 sales to be down 6-7 percent compared to Q4 of 2011. Sees EPS about 6-7 cents per share lower than previously expected. The company noted that revenues during the first quarter increased sequentially in the enterprise and data center markets, but declined in the service provider and broadband and consumer market. Sales in the service provider market were affected by continued inventory de-stocking, while sales into the broadband and consumer business were affected by delays in deployment of certain programs. The company expects that total sales in the second quarter of 2012 will increase sequentially.
Royal Bank of Canada (NYSE: RY) 2.3% LOWER; WSJ reporting the CFTF has alleged RBC made false statements, has filed a lawsuit against the company related to a "wash sale scheme."
3D Systems Corp. (NYSE: DDD) 2% HIGHER; 3D Systems will replace Taleo Corp. (NASDAQ: TLEO) in the S&P SmallCap 600 index after the close of trading on Thursday, April 5.
Guidewire Software (NYSE: GWRE) 2% LOWER; filed a registration with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to sell, from time to time, up to7.5 million shares of Common Stock. Of the total, Guidewire is selling 400,000 shares and Selling Stockholders will be selling the rest. Guidewire will not receive proceeds from the sale by Shareholders.
Somaxon Pharma (Nasdaq: SOMX) 2% LOWER; disclosed: on March 29th, Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG) notified the company P&G elected not to exercise its right to negotiate with Somaxon for rights to develop and commercialize an over-the-counter pharmaceutical product containing doxepin as the sole active pharmaceutical ingredient. Somaxon intends to seek potential collaborations with other third parties interested in rights to develop and commercialize an OTC Product.
