Barclays on North America Airfreight & Ground Transportation: Rolling into a Solid 1Q Earnings Season
Analyst, Brandon R. Oglenski, said, "The TruckLoad (TL) sector appears set for another solid earnings performance as the first quarter draws to a close. Most importantly, freight rates in early 2012 suggest the TL market remains tight from a supply perspective, driving continued pricing power for the carriers..."
Oglenski mentioned higher fuel costs being a concern for investors, but companies will likely be pass through surcharges.
For Knight Transportation Inc. (NYSE: KNX), Barclays analyst, expects a solid Q1 report with the strongest TL, but the stock is expensive versus peers.
For Werner (Nasdaq: WERN), Q1 is expected to be to the upside and the valuation gap to close vs. peers.
For J.B. Hunt (Nasdaq: JBHT), remain bullish on solid long-term outlook, but near-term pressure is high.
