Visa (V), MasterCard (MA) Shares Bounce Off Lows Following Global Payments' (GPN) Rumored Security Breach

Although shares of Visa (NYSE: V) and MasterCard (NYSE: MA) initially dipped amid reports Global Payments (NYSE: GPN) has been hit by a security breach, these stocks have now bounced.

Shares of Global Payments plunged more than 9 percent amid the rumor before being halted by the NYSE. The current indication suggests news is pending.

Visa shares are well off session lows but still down 0.6 percent to $118.31; MasterCard shares are down 0.7 percent to $425.30.
