KeyBanc reiterates a 'Buy' on Smith & Wesson Holding (NASDAQ: SWHC) price target raised from $7 to $10.
Analyst, Scott W. Hamann, said, "Overall, we believe this surge in demand has created industry-wide capacity constraints. For example, Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) recently announced that acceptance of new orders would be temporarily suspended following 1Q12 orders, which had already exceeded 1 million units. Given an industry dynamic where demand continues to outpace supply, we believe this presents SWHC the opportunity to gain market share, as a recent focus in expanding capacity should start to come online meaningfully in the coming quarters (we estimate SWHC invested approximately $15 million-$17 million of capital in capacity expansion in FY11 and several additional investments thus far in FY12)."
KeyBanc raises FY13 EPS estimate from $0.45 to $0.50.
