Neurocrine Biosciences (NBIX) Said Elagolix Endometriosis Phase III On Track After FDA Response to SPA

Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: NBIX) said the FDA responded to the Special Protocol Assessment (SPA) on the design of the Phase III program for elagolix in endometriosis, which will be incorporated into the final pivotal trial designs. Importantly, the FDA comments are not expected to have an impact on the start of the Phase III clinical program which is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2012.
