Green Mountain (GMCR) Shares Slide 4% Amid News of Large Sell by Chairman Stiller

March 26, 2012 3:53 PM EDT
Shares of Green Mountain (Nasdaq: GMCR) have tumbled nearly 4 percent Monday afternoon following news the company's founder and Chairman Robert Stiller unloaded about 1 million shares of company stock over February 15th through February 24th. The insider sell is being viewed as controversial as Starbucks (Nasdaq: SBUX) announced its new premium single-cup brewer the Verismo on March 8th.

After trading to an earlier high of $54.75, Green Mountain shares are now around $52.61, down almost 1.7 percent from Friday's close.
