UPDATE - Auriga downgrades Xilinx (Nasdaq: XLNX) from Buy to Hold. PT $39.

Auriga analyst said, "We downgrade Xilinx and reduce our price target as we scale back our estimates on a continued soft recovery in carrier capex. We also see increased threat to the wireless/base-station growth potential as we expect carriers to increasingly move to cost-efficient technologies like WiFi Offload/Small cells and Ethernet/IP/MPLS based wireless backhaul with lower FPGA content. While we continue to see XLNX ahead at 28nm and catching up at 40/45nm node, slower than expected ramp of high end SSIT technology may limit the share gains. While we continue to expect FPGA to outgrow the broader semiconductor industry, we scale back our top-line growth expectations to 8%-9% CAGR over the next five years on increased threat to wireless base-station and backhaul segments."
