UPDATE - UBS upgraded Silicon Labs (NASDAQ: SLAB) from Neutral to Buy. PT raised from $48 to $50.

UBS analyst said, "Expect new CEO to raise R&D efficiency...We expect SLAB to refine its growth strategy and improve R&D efficiency to drive increased operating margin, which we raise 100 bps longer-term. Even as the CEO transition has created uncertainty reflected in the stock pullback, we expect this to be short-lived. The 1Q earnings call could be the next catalyst with more strategy details provided."

"As Silicon Labs continues to grow its Broad-based segment (MCUs, human interface, wireless, isolation, timing) addressable market ($7.4bn in 2012 from $4.8bn ‘10), we expect sales to commensurately grow at a 24% CAGR (2011-16)." (UBS raises FY13 from $2.09 to $2.14)
