Notable 52-Week Highs and Lows of the Day 03/20: (CSCO) (AAPL) (GALE) (LGF) High; (IAG) Low

This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • Cisco Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CSCO) high of 20.57. Cisco making a move above $20.50, which appeared to be a little resistance for the company, as positive sentiment in the tech industry sentiment continues with Apple news and overall positive economic data reported the last few weeks.

  • Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) high of $603.60. Apple higher again following the announcement of a dividend program and stock buyback Monday morning. Shares saw some pressure early on reports of its new iPad reaching abnormally high temps, though Consumer Reports said temps weren't out of the ordinary for laptops.

  • Galena Biopharma (Nasdaq: GALE) high of $1.99. Earlier, Galena reported that it received a Notice of Allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for a patent covering the use of its product candidate, NeuVax, a HER2/neu peptide vaccine, for inducing immunity to breast cancer recurrence in patients having low-to-intermediate IHC ratings of 1+ or 2+ and a FISH rating of less than about 2.0.

    Shares ripped 28 percent to the new mark today.

  • Lions Gate (NYSE: LGF) high of $15.14. Ahead of the much anticipated "Hunger Games" release, Lionsgate getting a price target boost from BMO Capital from $12 to $14 and J.P. Morgan initiating coverage on the stock at Overweight.
52-Week Low:
  • IAMGOLD Corp. (NYSE: IAG) low of $12.93. Gold moving the opposite direction as overall positive market sentiment and lower crude prices are keeping investors in the risk trade. Though IAMGOLD was down about 2.4 percent to the new low, shares have rebounded Tuesday afternoon with the stock in positive territory.
