Hilliard Lyons Lifts Target on Microsoft (MSFT) to $37 Amid Upcoming Windows 8 Launch

Hilliard Lyons' Stephen Turner boosted his price target on shares of Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) from $31 to $37 Monday. The analyst reiterated a Buy rating on the stock.

The analyst is getting a little more bullish amid what he expects to be a strong release of Windows 8. Turner said "Windows 8 has the ability to integrate multiple device types through the operating system including PCs, Ultrabooks and mobile devices." Turner also noted integration with Xbox, Bing, and/or the Office suite.

The Hilliard analyst lifted his FY12 EPS estimate from $2.64 to $2.68 and his FY13 estimate from $2.87 to $2.95. The Street is currently expecting FY12 EPS of $2.69 and FY13 EPS of $3.01.

With Microsoft shares down almost 1 percent to $32.30 at last check, Turner's new price target represents potential upside of about 15 percent.
