Apple (AAPL) Surges Ahead of Decision on $100 Billion Cash Hoard

Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) is surging nearly 3% early Monday after announcing it will be holding a conference call Monday, March 19th, 2012, 6:00 a.m. PT (9:00 a.m. ET) to decide what to do about its nearly $100 billion in cash.

The event's description: "Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, and Peter Oppenheimer, Apple’s CFO, will host a conference call to announce the outcome of the Company’s discussions concerning its cash balance. Apple will not be providing an update on the current quarter nor will any topics be discussed other than cash."
