Cogo Group (NASDAQ: COGO) 86% HIGHER; announced that its founder, CEO and Chairman, Jeffrey Kang, proposed to the Cogo Board of Directors that he purchase a series of operating entities accounting for approximately 30% of Cogo's total assets, liabilities and revenue through his personal investment venture, Envision Global Group. The total purchase price is expected to be between $60 million and $82 million, depending on the results of an appraisal by an appraisal firm. The transaction provides an implied share valuation of $6-$8 a share.
OncoGenex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: OGXI) 14.5% LOWER; has commenced a public offering of its common stock. OncoGenex expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 15% of the shares of common stock offered in the public offering to cover overallotments, if any.

Discovery Laboratories, Inc. (Nasdaq: DSCO) 10% LOWER; today announced that it is offering to sell shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. The Company also expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase additional shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any.
New York & Co., Inc. (NYSE: NWY) 6% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of ($0.18), $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.16). Revenue for the quarter came in at $275 million versus the consensus estimate of $271.8 million. Comps down 6.3%
Anthera Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANTH) 3% LOWER; provided an update on company events following the recent termination of the VISTA-16 clinical study. Immediately after the VISTA-16 Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) recommended halting the clinical study, the Company took steps to cease patient enrollment and dosing. Redundant levels of written communication were sent to the investigators and clinical sites involved in the study to immediately cease enrollment and to withdraw all enrolled patients. The Company will be conducting final patient follow-up visits within the coming weeks. The Company has taken immediate action to decrease operating expenses through a reduction or elimination of vendor activities and immediate headcount reductions. This will result in an elimination of approximately 45% of Anthera's headcount.

Revenue for the quarter came in at $22 million versus the consensus estimate of $22.1 million. ees Q1 adj-loss of 7-9 cents per share, which compares to the Street estimate of a gain of 4 cents per share.
