Nomura Securities maintains a 'Neutral' on Ingersoll-Rand (NYSE: IR) price target of $42.00.

Analyst, Shannon O'Callaghan, said, "IR gave an updated outlook for 2013-14, with implied 2013 EPS now around $3.45 vs. the original target of $5.00-$5.75 that was given two years ago. Good news is that Ingersoll has substantially lowered the bar and is still early in its change process. Bad news is they are still in the midst of significant changes, which continue to represent execution risk. While new 2013 guidance looks more reasonable vs. old targets, we think Ingersoll still has some significant challenges, and we think estimates for 2013 could still have to come down. We maintain our below consensus 2012E / 2013E EPS of $2.90 / $3.25 vs. Street at $3.05 / $3.64, respectively."
