Jefferies maintains a 'Hold' on Capital One Financial (NYSE: COF) price target raised from $40 to $50.

Analyst, Daniel Furtado, said, "COF announced a $1.25B equity issuance to help fund the recent HSBC portfolio purchase. Guidance for Q1'12 EPS of $1.35 (ex ING bargain purchase gain) was provided and while $0.02 below street estimates, looks to be mostly in-line with expectations...While we are increasingly warming to COF's story and can foresee an environment where credit normalization takes a backseat in a risk-on environment, we still remain on the sidelines for the time being. We are taking our Q1'12 numbers up to $1.35, our FY'12 number up to $5.72 (from $5.43), and our FY'13 number up to $6.79 (from $6.45)."
