Jefferies maintains a 'Buy' on Ingersoll-Rand (NYSE: IR) price target raised $1 to $45.
Analyst, Stephen Volkmann, said, "IR is hosting an analyst day at their headquarters in Davidson, NC on Wednesday, March 13th. Ahead of the meeting we wanted to take a moment to provide some background on key end markets and businesses we believe will drive top line growth for the company through 2012. We continue to view IR as a must-own name in machinery-land and the stock remains among the cheapest in the group."
Some highlighted points include: 1) Still early in the cycle...But margin expansion opportunities beyond the cycle; 2) Expect new medium term targets: We expect new, lower, targets but still see a path to $5.00+ albeit a year or two later than originally planned; and 3) Strong balance sheet and cash flow, additional levers to pull.
