UPDATE - Nomura Securities upgraded Lowe's (NYSE: LOW) from Neutral to Buy. PT raised from $30 to $40.

Analyst, Aram Rubinson, said, "LOW shares have moved higher, but ample upside potential remains if our forecasts are correct...For a brief period of time, LOW was the leader in the sector; it is unlikely to recover that position. But by following HD’s playbook we think it can find successes. Those in turn, can breed even more success. Risk remains, but momentum is more likely to turn positive than negative."

"Our new EPS estimates of $1.97 (from $1.83) and $2.60 (from $2.30) are 8% and 18% ahead of the Street for FY12 and FY13, respectively. Our underlying assumptions however, are not aggressive. Free cash flow of $3.8bn in FY13 underpins our $40 target with an 8.5% yield."

"In separate notes, we raise estimates on Home Depot (NYSE: HD) (Neutral) and initiate coverage of Sherwin Williams (NYSE: SHW) with a Buy."
