Barclays maintains an 'Equalweight' on Lincoln Educational Services (NASDAQ: LINC) price target lowered $1 to $7.
Analyst, Gary E. Bisbee, said, "In our view, LINC is taking the right steps to position itself as a stronger business with higher quality outcomes. However, 2012 will be another transition year in which profits fall significantly due to internal quality initiatives and a difficult operating environment."
"LINC guided for new student starts to return to y/y growth in 2H'12, but expects the impact of weak 2011 starts and continued quality investments to drive a big 1Q'12 loss and severe negative operating leverage for 2012 in total. We are lowering our '12-'13 EPS estimates by $0.22/$0.14 to $0.25/$0.55, or -77%/+115% y/y, respectively."
