Jefferies raised estimates and its price target on Cooper Companies (NYSE: COO) from $70 to $83 following solid Q1 results, although they maintained their Hold rating.
The firm comments, "COO's posted solid F1Q:12 results driven by consistent gains in Vision, upside surprise in Surgical, and continued margin improvement. F12 EPS guidance goes higher but more a function of buybacks and lower tax over leverage gains. We remain at Hold ahead of UK facility inspection and in the light of slowdown in the margin expansion story as well as fair valuation."
Q2 EPS goes from $1.18 to $1.21, FY12 from $4.90 to $5.00 and FY13 from $5.33 to $5.40.
