Barclays maintains an 'Equalweight' on American Eagle Outfitters (NYSE: AEO) price target raised from $14 to $16.

Analyst, Stacy Pak, said, "We can poke holes in the AEO story/quarter - will comps slow down as AEO takes the pedal off inventories? Can AEO comp the transaction compare? Can AEO really leverage expenses as the company steps up marketing and spends on other initiatives? Does the weakness in aerie clothing suggest the stores are too big and isn't the impairment charge another example of poor use of shareholder funds?...Lots of questions, but our gut says the shares continue to rise in the near term. We believe the story is easy, and we continue to note investor interest."

Pak raises Q1 EPS estimate from $0.05 to $0.09, FY12 from $1.14 to $1.18 and FY13 from $1.31 to $1.33.
