Nomura Securities maintains a 'Neutral' on Chico's, Inc. (NYSE: CHS) price target of $14.00.
Analyst, Paul Lejuez, said, "Mgmt hosted an investor update meeting at its offices in Ft. Myers, FL. The tone was positive though not significantly different than the company’s 4Q earnings call (on 2/22) when mgmt indicated that comps were +7% QTD (no update on comps was given today)."
"The company's first priority is organic growth, and mgmt believes they can open 120 stores annually (in the U.S.) in each of the next several years...One of the first initiatives mentioned today was the opportunity for int’l growth. The company is in the initial stages of pursuing this expansion and has hired a VP of Int’l Ops to develop the opportunity. Mgmt expects Chicos and WH to be the first to go int’l, though eventually it sees an opportunity for all four brands...In the near term, trends are strong, though the many challenges in the women’s sector keep us from getting too excited."
