Alimera Sciences (Nasdaq: ALIM) 32.7% HIGHER; in addition to Alimera, shares of eye disease treatment manufacturer pSivida (Nasdaq: PSDV) are also rallying sharply this morning. That stock is up 28.7 percent.
BioSante Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: BPAX) 30.7% HIGHER; announced presentation of results from a Phase Ib clinical study that show its GVAX Pancreas cancer vaccine increased the median survival of pancreatic cancer patients with previously treated, locally advanced or metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDA), from 3.3 months when treated with ipilimumab, to 5.5 months on the combination of IPI plus GVAX Pancreas, an increase of more than 60 percent.
ATP Oil & Gas Corporation (Nasdaq: ATPG) 22.6% HIGHER; announcement of first oil production at its Mississippi Canyon Block 942 A-3 (#2) well, the fourth well at its Telemark Hub.
China Automotive Systems (Nasdaq: CAAS) 20.5% HIGHER; shares are lifting higher today as volume spiked higher after the stock pushed over the $5.50 level.
Dendreon Corp (NASDAQ: DNDN) 18.6% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.26, or $0.45 ex-items, which does not compare to the analyst estimate of ($0.23). Revenue for the quarter came in at $202.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $120.8 million. Product revenue for the fourth quarter of 2011 was $77 million compared to $25 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2010.
Pacific Ethanol (Nasdaq: PEIX) 17.9% HIGHER; while crude oil is pulling back following a nine-day streak of higher closes, Pacific Ethanol shares are continuing to break out today. The stock rallied more than 27 percent on Friday.
Intermolecular (Nasdaq: IMI) 16.3% LOWER; Pacific Crest downgraded the stock to Sector Perform this morning. Shares are now below the $7 support level.
Balchem Corporation (NASDAQ: BCPC) 15.4% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.31, versus $0.31 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $69.3 million, versus $69.8 million reported last year.
Cleveland BioLabs Inc. (Nasdaq: CBLI) 15.3% HIGHER; shares have been rising on heavier volumes over the past two days of trading. Shares popped today after breaking through resistance points at $3.50 and $3.70.
Microvision, Inc. (NASDAQ: MVIS) 13.5% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of ($0.62), versus ($1.27) reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.5 million, versus $683 thousand reported last year.
Marchex (Nasdaq: MCHX) 9.5% LOWER; stock gapped just above the $2.50 level this morning but quickly pushed towards the $4.35 level shortly after. The stock seems to be holding above $4.25 today.
