UBS maintains a 'Buy' on PetSmart (NASDAQ: PETM) price target raised from $58 to $61.
UBS analyst says, "While there have been some mixed indications about the recent demand for pet supplies (positive indication from the PCE data, cautious from Nielsen data), we think PETM generated solid results during 4Q’11. Between a good holiday showing, further trade up to premium products, the benefit of some channel shift, and favorable weather conditions, we expect that the company will meet or exceed our estimates of a 4% comp increase and EPS of $0.91 (vs. consensus at $0.90)."
UBS slightly raises FY12 EPS estimate from $2.54 to $2.55 and FY13 from $3.03 to $3.07.
