Sears Holding Corporation (NASDAQ: SHLD) 22.5% HIGHER; reported Q4 adjusted EPS of $0.54, $0.21 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.78. Revenue for the quarter came in at $12.5 billion versus the consensus estimate of $12.44 billion. The company also announced it intends to separate its Sears Hometown and Outlet Businesses and certain hardware stores through a proposed rights offering that is expected to raise approximately $400 million to $500 million. Sears also sold 11 full-line stores to General Growth Properties (NYSE: GGP) for $270 million.
Orexigen Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: OREX) 21.5% HIGHER; trading higher following news an FDA advisory panel has voted to back VIVUS's Qnexa diet pill.
3D Systems Corp. (NYSE: DDD) 20.9% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.27, $0.11 better than the analyst estimate of $0.16. Revenue for the quarter came in at $69.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $63.66 million. 3D Systems Corp. reaffirmed guidance.
Exterran Holdings (NYSE: EXH) 16.4% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of ($1.06), which may not compare to the analyst estimate of ($0.46). Non-GAAP loss from continuing operations was $62.63 million. Revenue for the quarter came in at $702.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $634.93 million. announced today that J. Michael Anderson, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of its managing general partner, has informed the Board of Directors that he intends to leave Exterran effective April 2, 2012. Anderson will be joining a privately held midstream company as its CFO. Exterran Partners also announced that David S. Miller has been appointed as Senior Vice President and CFO of Exterran GP LLC. Exterran Partners has agreed to acquire compression and processing assets from Exterran Holdings for consideration valued at approximately $184 million.
Angie's List (NASDAQ: ANGI) 16.4% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of ($0.14), $0.03 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.11). Revenue for the quarter came in at $27.45 million versus the consensus estimate of $25.38 million. Sees Q112 revenue of $29-$30 million.
Smart Balance, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMBL) 16.3% HIGHER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.07, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.05. Revenue for the quarter came in at $83.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $78.61 million. Reaffirmed FY2012 guidance. Smart Balance has modestly increased its cash operating income outlook to the $46 million to $48 million range, from $44 million to $47 million.
MELA Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: MELA) 14.2% HIGHER; MelaFind, developed by MELA Sciences was shown to improve melanoma detection in a study of 179 dermatologists. The average sensitivity of dermatologists before obtaining the MelaFind output was 69 percent, and the average sensitivity after obtaining the MelaFind output was 94 percent, according to a recent study published online in the Archives of Dermatology on February 20, 2012. GrafTech International Ltd. (NYSE: GTI) 13.4% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $0.39, $0.09 better than the analyst estimate of $0.30. Revenue for the quarter came in at $348 million versus the consensus estimate of $363.42 million. The company forecasts 2012 EBITDA to be in the range of $250 million to $290 million and that the first quarter will be its weakest with EBITDA targeted to be in the range of $35 million to $45 million.
Genco Shipping & Trading Limited (NYSE: GNK) 11.7% LOWER; announced the pricing of its public offering of common stock. The offering was made pursuant to Genco's registration statement (including a prospectus and related prospectus supplement for the offering). Total gross proceeds from the offering will be approximately $53.25 million.
Penn Virginia (NYSE: PVA) 11.6% LOWER; reports Q4 loss of 61 cents per share, which compares to the Street estimate of a 27 cent per share loss, on sales of $80.5 million. The Street was looking for quarterly sales of $79.66 million. Sees FY12 product sales of $288-$319 million, which may not compare to the current Street estimate of $344.57 million.
