Canaccord Genuity reiterates a 'Buy' on Amicus Therapeutics (NASDAQ: FOLD) price target of $10.00.
Analyst, Ritu Baral, said, "Migalastat: two separate clinical programs with distinct decoupled clinical benefit and development risk profiles. We hosted a dinner with FOLD management where discussion focused on migalastat monoTx and comboTx programs. In monoTx, migalastat must reach the cytoplasm, where it binds to and chaperones a patient’s own mutated enzyme into the lysosome. In comboTx, the drug binds and stabilizes ERT enzyme in the plasma. We think each approach has distinct potential clinical benefit and development risk/challenges, decoupling the risk profiles of monoTx and comboTx trials."
"We think Q3/12 pivotal Fabry monoTx ‘011 trial data for migalastat (f.k.a. Amigal) will be a strong positive, transformational catalyst. We think ‘011 has a high chance of success on Phase 2 precedent and trial enrichment."
