Needham & Company reiterates a 'Strong Buy' on Polypore International (NYSE: PPO) price target of $79.00.
Analyst, Michael Lew, said, "Despite being capacity-constrained, the core lead acid and emerging electric vehicle (EV) segments reported strong results with revenues of $90.5 million (up 0.9% y/y) and an estimated $28.0 million (up 18% q/q), respectively. Energy storage segment margins were a solid 22.5% in lead acid and 43.1% in lithium ion (CE & EV). Despite some near-term headwinds, we are bullish on Polypore’s long-term prospects and expect the company to financially benefit from the emerging EV landscape."
Needham lowers FY12 EPS estimate from $2.83 to $2.79 and FY13 from $3.66 to $3.60.
