Xata Corp. (XATA) Promotes Scott Meyer to CMO, Steve Chamberlain to EVP

Xata Corporation (Nasdaq: XATA), announced that Scott Meyer has been promoted from Senior Vice President, Marketing, to Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer, and that Steve Chamberlain has been hired as Executive Vice President, Field Operations. Both are members of Xata's executive team and report to Jay Coughlan, Chief Executive Officer.
In his new position, Meyer is responsible for brand management, lead generation, product marketing, market development and marketing communications, as well as helping the company further refine and execute its go-to-market strategy.
Meyer has provided marketing counsel, business strategy and executive leadership to a broad range of organizations worldwide for more than 30 years. His previous corporate experience was at Lawson Software where he was Chief Marketing Officer. He has also served as Chief Executive Officer of Shandwick International, one of the world's top three public relations firms.
