Needham & Company reiterates a 'Buy' on Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE: ANF). PT $53.
Analyst, Christine Chen, said, "At ~12.6x our lowered FY12 estimate of $3.56 (near the low end of reduced guidance of $3.50 to $3.75), ANF is trading at a substantial discount to the sector average of ~15x and its 15% to 18% growth rate. We believe there is upside from these levels, which represent a compelling entry point for long-term value investors. Even on the low end of recently reduced guidance, EPS growth is forecast to be about ~50% vs. FY11 EPS. The brand remains strong and although subject to macro variables, we believe the international business will continue to experience above average growth."
Q4 Preview: We think ANF will meet our F4Q11 (Dec) EPS estimate of $1.15 vs. $1.03 LY. Our F4Q11 EPS estimate of $1.15 is in line with the high end of guidance of $1.10-$1.15 and is 3 cents above consensus of $1.12...We think ANF will reiterate recently lowered conservative FY12 (Dec) EPS guidance of $3.50-$3.75. Our estimate of $3.56 is near the low end of guidance and 8 cents above consensus of $3.48.
