Nomura Securities reiterates a 'Buy' on MasterCard (NYSE: MA) price target of $500.00.
Analyst, Bill Carcache, said, "Management alleviated investor concerns that its 12-14% three-year revenue growth outlook was at risk due to a potential adverse outcome in the merchant litigation case. By clarifying that it expects to hit this target even after factoring in the anticipated impact of the merchant litigation, MasterCard signaled strong confidence in its ability to offset potential litigation headwinds with growth. There were also positive signals on the merchant litigation front with a $770 million pre-tax charge. We’re encouraged by management’s outlook (many investors seem to have been of the view that a total settlement could be closer to $10-15 billion). We expect consensus estimates to move closer to us as we look ahead to the rest of the year. Our 2012 and 2013 estimates are unchanged at $22.49 and $27.13, respectively."
